There's no "wrong way" to put together a camping spread, but here are our favourite must-haves!

  1. Lightly grease and pre-heat BBQ. Cook the sausages, beef patties and bacon on medium heat. Brown both sides of the beef patties flattening as required. Regularly turn sausages to ensure even cooking. Continue to cook for approx. 10 mins, reducing heat if necessary. Remove from BBQ onto serving platter, cover with foil to keep warm.
  2. Meanwhile, on a separate BBQ grill, grill the onions in olive oil until caramelised. Move onto a serving platter and cover with foil to keep warm.
  3. Pour baked beans into a pan and heat on the BBQ until warmed through.
  4. Prepare coleslaw mix as per packet directions. Serve potato chips in a large bowl.
  5. Lay out all ingredients on the table for serving.
  6. To assemble hamburgers, place a beef patty, bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomato and caramelised onions in hamburger buns. Add tomato sauce and mustard to taste.
  7. To assemble hotdogs, place a sausage in a hotdog bun, top with caramelised onions, tomato sauce and mustard to taste.
  8. Help yourself to your favourites and serve with your choice of drinks! For a sweet treat, have some tea and biscuits. Enjoy!
