Li’s Everyone’s Favourite Beef and Broccoli Stir Fry
Some would say Li and her son-in-law Tom are quite competitive, but she knows a family classic is always a winner

Method

In a large wok, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Add the garlic, ginger and sesame seeds, frying until fragrant.

Add the beef strips to the pan and cook until browned. Add the broccoli, soy sauce and sesame oil. Stir to combine.

Pour in the beef broth or water, and bring to a simmer. Cook for 3-5 minutes, or until the broccoli is crisp-tender. Serve over steamed rice.
Ingredients
- 500g beef stir fry strips
- 2 heads of broccoli, cut into florets
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- fresh ginger (approx. 3cm), minced
- 1/4 cup beef stock or water
