In a large wok, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Add the garlic, ginger and sesame seeds, frying until fragrant.
Add the beef strips to the pan and cook until browned. Add the broccoli, soy sauce and sesame oil. Stir to combine.
Pour in the beef broth or water, and bring to a simmer. Cook for 3-5 minutes, or until the broccoli is crisp-tender. Serve over steamed rice.
