Method

  1. Add mince, chopped onion, grated carrot, chopped garlic, BBQ sauce, parmesan cheese in a large bowl & mix well (this can also be done in a food processor)
  2. Make a well in the centre mince mixture, add lightly beaten egg, breadcrumbs/or almond meal & season with salt & pepper. Mix well until mixture is combined. If mixture feels a little sticky, add a little more breadcrumbs.
  3. Form patties, take a handful of mixture, roll into a ball shape, slightly flatten patties into shape continue this process until no mix remains.
  4. Heat enough olive oil to cover the base of a non-stick frypan & add your patties. Cook on medium heat, brown both sides flattening as required. Continue to cook for approx. 10 mins, reducing heat if necessary.
  5. To prepare your hamburgers, Take a wrap or wholemeal hamburger bun. Add your preferred sauce & place patty on bun.
  6. Continue to build your burger, try adding: cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, bacon, egg, pickles, cooked onion & condiments like mayonnaise, mustard.

  • 500g of your favourite mince
  • 1 Brown Onion, finely chopped
  • 1 Carrot, peeled & grated
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 Tbs BBQ sauce
  • ¼ cup parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup breadcrumbs/Almond meal for GF option
  • 1 Egg
  • Fresh chopped parsley - optional
  • Serve with your favourite salads and sauces
