Method

  1. Start by preheating your oven to 180°C. Wrap each cocktail frankfurt with half a slice of bacon and secure it with a toothpick. Arrange the wrapped frankfurts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. Bake them in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and browned. Turn them over halfway through cooking to ensure even browning.
  3. While the frankfurts are baking, prepare the homemade chili dipping sauce. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper if using.
  4. Stir the sauce until the brown sugar is fully dissolved and the sauce is heated through.
  5. Serve the bacon wrapped cocktail frankfurts hot with the homemade chili dipping sauce on the side. Enjoy your delicious appetizer!

  • 24 cocktail frankfurts
  • 12 slices of bacon, cut in half

  • 1 cup of ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon of chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of onion powder
  • A pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)
