Method

  1. Mix flour, yeast and salt into a bowl, add the warm water and combined into a dough, if the dough looks too dry add more water
  2. Dust your work surface with flour and then tip dough on top and kneed for 10 minutes or until its elastic and silky.
  3. Shape the dough into a ball, place in a bowl and sprinkle the top with flour before covering with a damp clean teatowel.
  4. Allow the dough to prove for an hour, or until its doubled in size, then punch down the dough to knock the air out of it
  5. Return dough to your dusted work surface and kneed for another 5 minutes
  6. Place dough in a greased tray and allow to prove for 30 minutes then preheat your oven to 180F 
  7. Bake your bread for 30 minutes or until golden 
  8. Once cooked allow to cook and enjoy! 

Ingredients

2 and 1/5 table spoons of dried yeast 1 kg all purpose flour 700 ml water 2 teaspoons salt flakes
